Project Scope
For the "Absurd Expressions" booklet project I created 6 visual representations of common English figures of speech in which words are not used with their dictionary definitions. This was my first exercise using Adobe illustrator, it taught me a lot about the software's capabilities as well as my own.

Sketches
Beginning on paper, I sketched out 16 possible variations for each of the 6 phrases. After multiple rounds of critique with my peers I focused in on a final 3 designs for each phrase and created more detailed versions of each.
